Company History
KTB Marine Indonesia was established as a Foreign Investment Company (PMA) according to the regulations of the Republic of Indonesia in 2008. The purpose of the company was ship building and repair, as well as vessel rental for Marine Tourism. They headquarter of the company was in Benoa Harbor, Bali.
In September of 2008, PT. KTB Marine Indonesia acquired the traditional Dutch Schooner “ADELAAR”, and legally imported of this vessel into Indonesia. In December 2009, when the vessel was finally imported and under Indonesian flag, a complex reconstruction and renovation of the vessel was started in Bali. From this time on, until mid of 2012, the vessel was changed inside and out to a very high standard. In 2012, ADELAAR the complex up-grade was completed and ADELAAR was commissioned for Marine Tourism purposes.
At about the same time, PT. KTB Marine Indonesia applied for a new company license (Wisata Tirta) with the Foreign Investment Board in Jakarta (BKPM), moved the company offices to a new and much nicer location in Jimbaran, and changed the Board of Directors and shareholder structure to accommodate the new company purpose better.
